"who even are you?"

A great question! An important disclaimer for anyone stumbling across this blog: I am only another pre-med in a vast ocean of pre-meds. I have no insight or knowledge that you can't find somewhere else on the Internet. And you should definitely double- and triple-check anything you read here before you take it as advice. I don't really know what I am talking about; I am just talking. ;)

All jokes aside... I am:
  1. a non-traditional pre-med
  2. a current nursing student at my local community college (where I'll also finish all my post-bacc coursework)
  3. a wife, and
  4. a mother;
All of that means there's a long, convoluted path ahead of me to becoming a doctor. I made this site a place to record my thoughts as I go. I wanted to have a place to keep track of all the great resources I've found, so I added a page for that. I use Quora questions kind of like prompts to free-write about all kinds of things, so there's a page for that. And I am sure I will add other pages, too.

As I go through nursing school and my career as an RN, I will share that journey in detail. I am very excited about getting the chance to learn what being an RN is all about on my way to medical school; it's not just the chance to get high quality clinical experience, but a way to learn a dimension of care that I wouldn't be able to understand otherwise. But we'll chat more about that another day.

In the sidebar is a link to my "about me" page where you can find all my socials in case you'd like to connect. I'm not always active on socials, but I am sometimes! Add me, follow me, or don't-- the choice is yours! :)
