First Post!

Hey! I’m currently a nursing student at my local community college. I previously earned a non-science bachelor’s degree after a long (longgggg!) 10 years of ups and downs trying to get there.

So, almost 15 years, 2 degrees, and 2 kids later— I’ll be starting my DIY pre-med post bacc at the same college where I’ll be finishing my RN. Only difference is that I’ll be doing that coursework while working full time! I made this channel blog as a way to document this process. As I was going over my old college transcripts recently, I realized I often couldn’t recall exactly what was going through my mind and what was going on in my life each semester. So I’m hoping this channel will help me remember where I came from once I get to where I’m going. *** The previous blurb was what I wrote for my YouTube channel bio, and I figured it was the easiest and most concise way to introduce myself for this blog!

I am more familiar with writing, but I figured that now is as good a time as any to branch out of my comfort zone and try documenting in video format, also. I have no idea what I'm doing with blogging or vlogging. Maybe I'll learn something about it along the way.
